Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the CEO of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an actor, journalist as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than 10 years. She is also the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. She moved to Greece to England aged 16 where she obtained a MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. In her 21st year, she was president of the famed debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign student who was elected to this position. As a conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she was able to be an influential voice for the Huffington Post. The fame she gained allowed her to persuade a number of stars to voice their views regarding current affairs, the culture and politics. Arianna gained notoriety in 2003, when she ran as an independent in the California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. Arianna was also part of an initiative in Detroit that promoted cars that are fuel efficient. In 2009 she was named by Forbes as The most influential women in media gaining 12th position in the list and in the same year, the Guardian named her to the top 100 list of media. AOL, Inc. named her president of their media company in 2011, after they acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post was joined by the other AOL brands, including Engadget AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos the management and journalism consultant. Though she shared a close friendship with her mother and father and father, it was their relationship which shaped her. Even in her formative age, she displayed her leadership skills and is a household name. In the year she turned 16, she moved from America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. As a student she was a member of the Cambridge Union's colleges debating societies, and eventually was its first foreign and female president. In 1972 she received an education in Economics. Her career as an anchor and reporter was born after graduation. She also appeared with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
