Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modeling professional career in Italy. She made her acting debut in the year 1996 with her debut in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It was a long road for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller character. Amy was unable to make the switch from modeling to acting because models are not usually considered good actors. Models are often only given minor or unimportant roles. Amy did her best to get noticed and eventually she was offered bigger parts beginning in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy then moved into leading parts in 2005's love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained the recognition she'd been seeking for nearly 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. Amy went on to appear in major movies including the Crank Series alongside Jason Statham, and Shameless.
